Kathy grew up In Ramsgate with her parents Phyllis & Joe and siblings. She came from a large Welsh family and many of the extended family also lived in Ramsgate. She thought of her cousin Ron as a brother and they shared many happy times over the years. She attended Dame Janet Junior School and St Georges girls school. Later she went on to complete a catering apprenticeship at Thanet Technical College and The University of Kent at Canterbury. Kathy met her best friend Madeleine at school and they remained friends always. Kathy was quiet, kind and gentle and loved animals.
